Vitamix Ascent ( A2300 Vs. A2500) Blender Differences: These two powerful blenders from Vitamix are the latest in blending technology. Both models are Bluetooth® enabled, allowing you to unlock a huge selection of additional blending modes, and over 600 recipes. You can use this APP on your smartphone or iPad.

Both blenders have the powerful 2.2 horsepower motor, BPA free plastic containers, container self detect technology, and an industry leading 10 year warranty. A rotary dial on both blenders allows you to manually select up to 10 speeds for blending. These blenders are part of the new Ascent Series.

The main differences between the Vitamix A2300 and A2500 are: The main difference is that the A2500 has 3 blending presets, right on the dial. These presets are for Smoothies, Hot Soups, and Frozen Desserts. The preset will automatically turn off when done.

Although the A2300 does not have presets on the dial, both the A2300 and A2500 have access to 17 presets using a Smartphone or Tablet using the Vitamix APP. These presets are timed programs that adjust the power, and duration of the blend and shut-off automatically when done.

The Bottom Line A2300 Vs. A2500: Both Ascent-Series blenders from the motor, blades, and container are identical. Both models have a traditional blender look with more physical controls. The A2500 offers three physical pre-sets on the dial, which is the only real difference between the models.

Both models however come with the Vitamix Perfect Blending APP and Bluetooth® connectivity to your smartphone or tablet. So, if you use the APP with the A2300 or A2500, you will have access to 17 preset programs. These presets are timed programs that include smoothies, hot soups, dry chopping, nut butters, cold skim milk foam, salad dressings, spice grinding, baby food, marinades, and more. You get the 17 presets on the APP with either model, and 600 recipes to choose from. Either model would be an excellent choice, given the Vitamix 10 year warranty.

Self detect technology: The base of blender is able to detect the size of the container attached and automatically adjust program settings and blending times automatically. This feature is installed on both models.

Included Tamper = A tamper is a tool that allows for processing thick, dense ingredients. You can push the ingredients down so they blend properly. All Vitamix Ascent blenders come with a Tamper Tool. Touch Control = The newest Ascent models A3300 and A3500 models have both a traditional speed dial, and a touch area to control blending. The A2300 and A2500 have traditional physical controls. SELF-DETECT™ Technology = Automatically detects the blender jar you attach, and will adjust settings automatically.
