NordicTrack 2450 Vs. 2950 Treadmill Comparison: NordicTrack is a leader in both lower and higher end treadmills. The NordicTrack 2450 and 2950 models are a cut above in quality, as these are their commercial line of treadmills designed for home usage, the latest models. Please note the 2950 has been discontinued, the 2450 is now the top-of-the-line treadmill.

Highly rated, they both are excellent treadmills for runners and taller users. Common to both models are high power motors, HD touchscreens, built-in speakers & fan, Bluetooth, WiFi, Heart Telemetry, many built-in programs, 22×60″ running Deck, Built-in workout programs, and 15% powered incline. These treadmills both have 3% decline, which is a rarer feature, simulating downhill running.

The main differences between the NordicTrack 2450 and 2950 are: Both have a 4.25 HP motor. The newer 2450 has a much larger 24-inch HD Touchscreen vs. the smaller 22-inch screen on the 2950. Both models can access iFit though to access thousands of workouts. The 2450 has a larger 400 lb. weight capacity and faster 14 mph top speed. NordicTrack 2450 vs. 2950 Console Comparison: The HD touchscreen of the 2450 is 9% larger at 24-inches (the 2950’s touchscreen is 22-inches). The console on both models allows you to view all the iFit features, including Google Maps, Interactive Training, and iFit Coach. Both consoles are backlit (ideal for dimly lit rooms), Both consoles are Bluetooth® and Wifi enabled with APP, and have manual controls for incline and speed. For safety, both have an emergency stop button, and cord.


Bottom Line: The NordicTrack Commercial 2950 has been discontinued. The 2450 model and its cheaper 1750 model are available. Both of these treadmills are higher end heavy duty commercial treadmills designed for home use. The higher power motors on both models will prevent straining, which can burn out lower horsepower motors on cheaper treadmills. Either treadmill will provide a solid workout for all users, including taller users (wide and long running belt), and runners.


For Runners: The still available NordicTrack 1750, 2450 all have four key components for runners. This includes High User Weight Capacity (300 lbs.), a Long and Wide Running Deck (22″x60″), Incline & Decline Grade, and a very Powerful Motor.
